Blackmagic ships URSA Cine Immersive 100G for live Apple Immersive Video
Blackmagic Design is debuting the URSA Cine Immersive 100G at NAB 2026 from Booth N2502 in the North Hall, positioning the camera as the first immersive cinema system built for live production on Apple Immersive Video. Dual 8Kx8K RGBW sensors deliver 16 stops of dynamic range, and a 100G Ethernet output keeps live immersive feeds under 50 Gb/s — small enough to run two cameras on a single 100G link.
The news matters because live Apple Immersive Video has so far been a post workflow, not a broadcast one. Pushing it onto a fiber-friendly IP path opens the format to sports and event production that cannot wait for offline stitching. Spectrum SportsNet's Spectrum Front Row is already using the system to shoot Lakers games during the 2025-26 NBA season, a real-world proof point rather than a demo.
Alongside the immersive rig, Blackmagic is launching the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G (up to 440fps, priced at $8,995, shipping Q3), DaVinci Resolve 21 and the Fairlight Live audio mixer. "Live immersive production is here, and it's extraordinary. URSA Cine Immersive 100G makes it possible," said CEO Grant Petty.
