Brainstorm launches Suite 7 with 360-degree virtual studio output
Brainstorm is launching Suite 7 at NAB 2026, a major version update to its real-time graphics and virtual studio platform. The headlining change is 360-degree output support in InfinitySet, addressing the expanding demand for immersive studio environments where a single virtual set must render convincingly across the full camera range rather than within a defined front-facing arc. The capability is relevant to productions using multi-camera setups with a mix of robotic and handheld rigs where camera positions are not fixed in advance.
Aston, Brainstorm's character generator, receives improved interoperability with third-party broadcast systems in Suite 7, reducing the custom integration work typically required when Aston operates alongside hardware from other vendors in a live production stack. Edison, the company's CG automation tool, gains a QuickStart mode and a Teleporter feature designed to cut deployment time for routine graphics operations.
The three-component update positions Brainstorm as a full-suite provider covering virtual production, on-air graphics, and CG automation rather than a specialist in any single area. Suite 7 competes directly with virtual studio platforms from Vizrt and disguise, both of which have their own Unreal Engine and real-time rendering integrations on the NAB floor this week. No pricing or general availability date was announced at time of publication.
