Chyron turns 60 with PRIME, PAINT, and CAMIO updates across live and sports
Chyron is marking its 60th anniversary at NAB 2026 with updates across its entire product lineup, touching graphics, sports analysis, media asset management, and virtual production in a single pre-show release.
The PRIME graphics platform gains MultiSystem Sync for synchronized multi-engine playout across broadcast facilities, enhanced newsroom template editing, and future support for AXIS template imports. PAINT, Chyron's sports analysis tool, adds NBA sweep calibration expansion, enhanced football tracking, and NFL Next Gen Stats player tracking integration — extending the system's data tie-ins with major US league tracking infrastructure. CAMIO, the media asset and newsroom workflow platform, enters beta with both a LUCI Crop Tool and AI Image Tagging, plus the ChyAI Assist feature. Virtual production gets PRIME VSAR 2.3 with compatibility for Unreal Engine 5.6, while Chyron LIVE adds SCTE-35 ad insertion for cloud-based live production.
The scope of the release reflects Chyron's approach of incremental AI integration across all tools rather than a single flagship AI product. The NFL Next Gen Stats tie-in in PAINT is the highest-profile data integration in the batch — it brings player position and movement data directly into the on-air analysis toolset for broadcasters holding NFL rights.
