FOR-A adds AI node-graph generation to IMPULSE, ships HVS-Q12 switcher

FOR-A is showing two distinct product developments at NAB 2026 at Central Hall booth C4920. The first is an AI-assisted update to the IMPULSE GPU-based live production platform: a new feature in the Graph Editor automatically generates node graphs and system diagrams from operator input, reducing the configuration work required to build production pipelines and allowing operators to focus on creative decisions rather than back-end routing logic.

The second is the immediate delivery of the HVS-Q12, a 2 M/E production switcher operating natively at 3G and software-upgradable to 12G. The unit supports up to 60 inputs and 30 outputs, with Dante and NDI IP interfaces and up to eight keyers per M/E at HD/3G. Shipping now rather than as a preview makes it an actionable purchase at the show.

The two announcements address different parts of the production workflow: IMPULSE targets facilities building software-defined IP infrastructure where signal-path complexity is a barrier to adoption, while the HVS-Q12 targets productions that still need a conventional hardware switcher but want an upgrade path to 12G and IP audio without a hardware replacement. Both products reflect FOR-A's positioning across hardware and software-defined production.
