Lawo launches Edge One converged video and audio 25G stagebox at NAB
Lawo is launching Edge One at NAB 2026 from Booth C2108, a 1RU stagebox that converges video and audio connectivity into a single device for SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. The unit includes eight bi-directional HD-BNC SDI connectors, four HDMI outputs, SFP ports for MADI I/O, a PoE++ RJ45 port, USB-C audio, and bandwidth capacity of up to 25 Gbps.
Swappable audio interface modules allow operators to configure each deployment independently, while FLEX software licensing lets the same hardware adapt to different workflow requirements without a hardware swap. The combination of modular audio and software licensing is aimed at broadcasters and remote production teams that need different stagebox configurations across venues without managing separate SKUs.
The 1RU form factor and PoE++ power delivery make Edge One deployable in compact environments — outside broadcast trucks, stadium infrastructure rooms, and remote production hubs — where space and cabling are constraints. Converging video and audio into a single ST 2110 stagebox at 25 Gbps addresses a persistent gap between audio-centric and video-centric IP infrastructure at the venue edge.
