NAB Hall of Fame inducts Rob Lowe and John Tesh

The National Association of Broadcasters inducted Rob Lowe and John Tesh into the NAB Hall of Fame at an awards dinner held April 21, the evening before the show floor's closing day.

Lowe was recognized for a four-decade television career spanning "The West Wing," "Parks and Recreation," "9-1-1: Lone Star," and his current hosting role on FOX's "The Floor." Tesh was honored for his work as a CBS News correspondent, a decade co-hosting "Entertainment Tonight," composing the NBA on NBC theme "Roundball Rock," and his syndicated radio program, which now reaches 7.6 million weekly listeners across more than 350 stations.

NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt framed both inductees as representing the creative and entrepreneurial breadth of contemporary broadcasting. "Rob Lowe and John Tesh represent the very best of broadcasting — creative pioneers whose work has informed, entertained and inspired audiences for decades," LeGeyt said. The induction ceremony serves as the annual punctuation mark at the end of NAB Show, recognizing careers that cross the line between talent and the broadcast industry infrastructure that carried their work to audiences.
