FanDuel, Religion of Sports, and 49ers executives join Sports Summit stage

The NAB Show Sports Summit speaker lineup adds a range of voices that reflect how broadly sports media has expanded beyond traditional broadcast. FanDuel is confirmed on the summit stage — the first time a major sportsbook operator has been included — alongside sports-betting and data-rights sessions that treat wagering infrastructure as a mainstream distribution topic.

Religion of Sports CEO Ameeth Sankaran joins the main stage to represent the athlete-driven media brand category. The company was co-founded by filmmaker Gotham Chopra, Tom Brady, and Michael Strahan. Laura "LJ" Johnson from the San Francisco 49ers brings a team operations and game presentation perspective, while Bruin Capital's Jeff Roth and DealMaker's Rebecca Kacaba cover private equity's expanding role in sports ownership.

The Streaming Summit's sports track adds further depth: FanDuel's Eric Girard, NASCAR's Patrick Carroll, Amazon Prime Video Live Sports' Brad Boim, DAZN's Sandeep Tiku, and Warner Bros. Discovery's Sudheer Sirivara are all confirmed, spanning betting, motorsport, subscription sports, and studio streaming. TwelveLabs' Bobby Mohr will represent AI-powered video understanding in the same track. The combined presence of sportsbooks, private equity, athlete media brands, and streaming platforms on the same stages marks a significant broadening of what NAB's sports programming covers.
