Witbe replaces script-based test automation with AI-native monitoring

Witbe is demonstrating a fully AI-native video streaming test and monitoring infrastructure at NAB 2026 (booth W2051) that discards traditional script-based automation in favor of plain-language commands executed in real time across real devices and live networks.

The platform is built as four integrated layers. Witbox handles physical device execution — tests run on actual hardware, not emulated environments. The Agentic SDK, released in February 2026, provides AI-driven automation that can interpret and act on natural language instructions without requiring scripting. REC is a virtual network operations center where operators interact in conversational language rather than predefined dashboards. Smartgate applies AI to root-cause analysis, detecting quality degradation and tracing it to origin before an alert is raised.

The practical shift is from "write a script, run a script" to "describe what you want to verify." For streaming QA and NOC teams, the key claim is reduced reliance on specialist automation engineers — teams can trigger test sequences using plain language without maintaining a library of fragile test scripts. Whether the accuracy of AI-interpreted instructions matches hand-coded automation at production scale is the question buyers will press at the booth.
