TVU Networks and Tencent Cloud launch joint cloud production platform

TVU Networks and Tencent Cloud announced a strategic partnership at NAB 2026 targeting broadcasters, OTT operators, and enterprise live-event producers with a jointly developed cloud-native production and distribution platform. The announcement came on the first day the exhibit hall was open to attendees.

The platform pairs TVU's microservices architecture with Tencent Cloud's Tencent Kubernetes Engine (TKE) container services for elastic scalability. AI-powered features cover automated subtitle generation, intelligent editing, and content moderation. Distribution includes FAST channel delivery via Tencent's global CDN. The companies cited three prior deployments: the 2024 Paris Games Torch Relay, a global club football championship spanning nine countries, and 369 simultaneous streams produced for BBC UK General Election coverage.

Yan Peng of Tencent Cloud described the partnership's scope: "Through our partnership with TVU, we can rapidly help customers build a next-generation technology infrastructure—enabling global acquisition, global production, and global distribution." The announcement adds Tencent Cloud to the list of Chinese hyperscalers pursuing Western media production workloads, pairing infrastructure reach with media-specific workflow tooling rather than competing on raw compute price alone. No specific customer pricing was disclosed at launch.
